Introducing this site

No two games are ever the same. They will present an entirely different appearance and run an entirely different course, depending on the qualities of mind, character, mood, and virtuousity of the players.
Hermann Hesse, The Glass Bead Game

An on line version of the Glass Plate Game, at present a parlor game for playing face to face, has been an idea for quite a while. We are developing and testing a prototype and welcome comments while we are coding and recoding etc. As well as for testing of the prototype the site supports activities and projects relating to the parlor game. Some site features originating here might later move to the main Glass Plate Game site, for a larger readership. Another purpose for this site is to allow innovation/experimentation that would not be appropriate for the established Glass Plate Game site.
